Rachel was born and raised in Victoria and was thrilled to return to her hometown in 1995 – after completing her dental degree at the University of British Columbia – to start her practice and raise her family.
A life-long learner, Rachel embarked on a journey of further training and hands-on learning in 2007. She attended and completed all seven core levels of neuromuscular dentistry at the prestigious LVI Global in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she is currently a fellow. Rachel believes in integrating comprehensive diagnosis and contemporary techniques with the latest technologies. With this philosophy, her goal is to improve the lives of her patients and to bring beautiful smiles to all who visit her office.
While raising three young boys with her husband Brock, Rachel built her business to four practices over 15 years. As many of us do, she realized that quality is far better than quantity, so she has worked over the past year to streamline and simplify her life both personally and professionally. Urban Smiles Victoria and Urban Smiles Colwood are the culmination of that effort: quality dentistry in a caring environment, delivered by a team whose mission is to make your dental visit a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Over the years, Rachel has performed countless hours of volunteer work through Dentistry for the Heart and, along with her team, has delivered hundreds of thousands of dollars in dental care to those in need in her own community. She has also enjoyed volunteering with the Rotary Club, delivering dental services and supplies to the indigenous people of Guatemala.
